C6000 Inks and Labels

The Epson ColorWorks C6000A can use two types of inks: gloss and matte. The only difference is the black ink. Matte black ink uses pigment to make the blacks deeper and more permanent. Matte black pigment ink is usually used for outdoor labels, chemical labels, or matte barcodes that need a stronger black. Because it is less likely to fade over time, this type of C6000 ink can produce sharper text and barcodes on matte paper or polypropylene labels.

The gloss ink is used for printing on glossy paper, polypropylene, or synthetic film labels. This ink type offers excellent image quality on glossy materials.

The matte and glossy inks both meet BS5609 certification for chemical labels when used with C6000 chemical labels.
