How Can the Epson ColorWorks C831 Unwinder and Rewinder Improve Label Production?
If you print large format labels with the Epson ColorWorks C831 label printer, adding the unwinder / rewinder system to it allows you to better manage larger print runs. For example, you can set the unwinder and rewinder system up for roll-to-roll printing. Simply start your print job and let the system feed your labels from one roll through the label printer and then immediately rewind them onto a finished roll. For smaller print runs, you can use just the unwinder to feed the labels through the printer as needed. If you use fan-fold labels, place them behind the C831 label printer as you normally do and use the rewinder to collect the printed labels onto a roll as soon as they are printed.
Features and Benefits of the Epson ColorWorks C831 Unwinder and Rewinder System
Designed for use with Epson's wide format ColorWorks C831 label printer, the unwinder and rewinder system can handle large format media. Rolls can be as wide as 9.5 inches with an outside diameter of up to 9.84 inches. Both units have a 3-inch core holder.
The system also includes a baseplate that connects the Epson ColorWorks C831 to the label unwinder and rewinder. This baseplate ensures that the labels are totally aligned between the unwinder, printer and the rewinder. This aligns the media path perfectly. We also have an optional label slitter, which can be used to remove the tractor-fed edges from the label rolls if required.
Adding the unwinder and rewinder system to your Epson ColorWorks C831 GHS color label printer allows you to set up your label runs for unattended operation. You'll no longer need to stand over the printer as it prints. Simply set it up, print, and let the system run.
